TWO UPDATES:
The ASC – The Appraisal Subcommittee took action on 4/10/13 to begin non-recognition proceedings against the State of Illinois’ Appraisal Regulatory Program. If this were to happen, then every appraiser credentialed in Illinois would not be eligible to perform appraisals for federally related transactions. (If you’ve not seen the letter, send me an email.)
Update: Per Chapter representatives who attended the Illinois Appraisal Board Meeting earlier this month, The State of Illinois is making good progress toward meeting the ASC’s goals with the intent of being fully compliant. Our Chapter will continue to monitor.
IL State AMC Law and Rules – We continue to work with ICAP toward a resolution that is appropriate to all appraisers in our Chapter.
