Our 2015 President, George Collins, MAI provided strong leadership and attention to the financial details needed in today’s fiscally tough environment.  Other chapters have increased member benefits and chapter revenues through their chapter developed seminars.  Due to George’s hard work and willingness to personally created some of these seminars our chapter developed course offerings increased.  George worked hard to establish and improve the sponsorship revenues for the chapter.  This new revenue stream is critical to the chapter and has grown over the past 12 months. Thank you, George for your hard work.

CCAI continues to face economic pressures due to reduced revenues.  We need to examine what changes are needed to put us in a position of strength.  Plasticity and a willingness to change what has worked in the past to try something new which may work better will be the key to our future success. Your membership and participation in chapter events, education, and committees has been and will continue to be essential. The chapter is offering 2016-2017 USPAP at several locations to it make geographically easier to attend. Please check the website for all of our educational offerings - www.appraisalinstitute.org/education/chicago

Our next meeting is Thursday, February 25th at Wildfire Chicago.  Jim McKenzie, Vice President of Acquisitions for Centrum Partners, will be our guest speaker discussing “Recent Transit Oriented Development in Chicago-Doing the Deals.”  Click here to register - http://bit.ly/1PLZBvQ

See you at our next Chapter event!

Thank you,
