Along with receiving her Review Designation this year, Alexandra Meade was one of AI’s Volunteers of Distinction for March.  This month’s Volunteer of Distinction is Mark J. Krause, MAI.  

As a reminder, we have a some upcoming Residential Seminars.  Dean Zantow will be teaching three residential seminars – Whatever Happened to Quality Assurance in Residential Appraisal on April 16th and two 4 hour seminars – Unraveling the Mystery of Fannie Mae and Litigation Assignments for Residential Appraisers on April 17th in the downtown Chicago classroom.  

The first Chicagoland Residential Conditions Seminar at Microtrain in Lombard will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd.  After the Conditions Seminar, we will be hosting another Free Networking Event for Candidates and Trainees.  For more information or to RSVP, please contact Mary Jane – Maryjane@ccai.org.    

Our next Chapter meeting will be on Wednesday, May 20 at McCormick & Schmick’s in Rosemont.  The date has changed so mark your calendars. The guest speaker is Keith Wolf, SRA, AI-RRS.  He will be discussing “Collateral Underwriting and the Future of Appraising.”  During the meeting, the slate of Officers and Directors for 2016 will be presented. Seats will be limited for the luncheon, so please register as soon as you can.  

The September 30, 2015 deadline for CE in Illinois is fast approaching.  To help you meet the deadline, we are offering the following seminars:

Advanced Spreadsheet Modeling for Valuation Applications on May 11 & 12
Downtown Chicago Architecture & Geography Walking Tour on May 15
Complex Litigation Appraisal Case Studies on May 27
Fundamentals of Separating Real Property, Personal Property, and Intangible Business Assets on May 28 & 29.  

In order to assist new trainees and supervisors, CCAI will be offering the Supervisor Appraiser/ Trainee Appraiser Course on May 7 at the Chapter.  After the AQB portion, we will be offering the Illinois portion.  Members can sign up for one or both of these seminars.  
 
Another free event we are offering again is the Career Seminar.  The focus of the Career Seminar is to engage people who are interested in the real estate appraisal field.  This seminar is facilitated by Dan Ryan, SRA and Mike Schaeffer, MAI on Tuesday, May 19th at 5:30pm.  The seminar will be held at the Chapter.  For more info, please contact Mary Jane.  

John Urubek will be offering his Comp Exam prep course at CCAI for the first time in Chicago on June 3-9.  Please contact John to register or for more info:  jurubek@aol.com
