JANUARY Note from Chapter President

Welcome to The Chicago Chapter of the Appraisal Institute (CCAI). Hope you are comfortably tired from the turning over of a new calendar and ready to embrace the best of the year to come!

Why CCAI?   The Chicago Chapter is here to support you - the professional appraiser – to do your very best work.  We do that by offering the finest in appraisal education, professional development and networking opportunities.  Candidates for Designation will find sage, encouraging Advisors and a framework to help facilitate a meaningful while urgent path toward earning a professional appraisal designation.

Our association is here and now, for you. As your new 2013 Chapter President, I am open to and welcome your ideas, questions or observations about how we can better support you, our profession, and in so doing, strengthen the role of appraisers as a solid, reliable link within our economy.

My appreciation and thanks go to the previous Boards of Directors, Past Chapter Presidents, and Executive Director – without each of you, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Our 2013 Officers and Directors look forward to continuing to support our excellence through our Association.

As of 2013, The Appraisal Institute is a professional organization.  Whether you’ve made a New Year’s resolution or are just giving some thought to pursuing the professional designations of SRA or MAI, please consider declaring yourself as a Candidate for Designation.    Ask any of the Designated Members you may know, “Has having a designation made a difference in your life?”  The designation pin symbolizes that you are one of the most professional valuation persons in the world.
