Dear Chicago Chapter Colleagues,
 
The Chicago Chapter of the Appraisal Institute has long history of providing quality education.  We have also have been providing various scholarships which ease the economic burden of these educational opportunities.  The scholarship committee met and awarded the following spring scholarships:

The June 30, 2016 deadline for completion of USPAP 2016-2017 is fast approaching. The chapter has six additional offerings prior to the deadline with one being located in Schaumburg on Friday, April 22 and the remaining five located in Chicago.  Please see our website for more information:  http://www.ccai.org/uspap-courses.php
 
Our next two meetings move outside Chicago.  On April 27, in East Peoria our guest will be Todd Abercrombie to discuss Energy Efficiency and Green Buildings.   For more info and to register, please go to:  http://bit.ly/1RU0Slx.  On May 26, at Carlucci’s in Rosemont, our guest will be Amy Michalak, the current President of Illinois Bankers Association.  She will be discussing the Mortgage Conditions and Issues in the Chicago Metro Area.  For more info and to register, please go to:  http://bit.ly/1YvhzEz. These lunch and dinner meetings are a great opportunity for you to network and participate in our chapter. 
 
I have been President of the Chicago Chapter of the Appraisal Institute for nearly four months and the experience has been enriching.  The willingness by our members to work on behalf of the chapter to ensure its continued success is the reason for optimism. Over the next eight months we will announce additional educational seminars and social events to help enhance your membership experience.
